Yayasan Cerdik was incorporated in March 2005. It was started by eleven (11) donors who made individual contributions to the foundation to commence its course of operations.

The foundation’s  key objective is to aid the underprivileged, focusing on education for selected needing recipients. However, the assistance was expanded further to cover medical, other community initiatives and special projects with the increasing needs from this group of recipients across the nation.
